tue 01. nov. 2005 -- sat 05.nov.2005 6:00 -- 12.00 pm jan-peter e.r. sonntag: humagneticvideoprogramm humagnetic #1 -- the composition/installation -- is the observation of an intimate studio situation. i am sitting behind my computer wearing headphones. in my left hand i am holding a sensor by means of wich i scan my heartbeat and, by minimal changes in the angle, acoustically measure the interior of my chest. in my right hand, i am holding a sensor with wich i can gauge the magnetic fields / the electromagnetic pollution of my computer. two cameras are watching form above. the mouse buzzes in high frequency. the 60 hz humming of the net transformer interferes with my heart. it is a closed circuit in wich ia mplaying -- in wich i am realizing a composition. tue 08. nov. 2005 -- sat 12. nov.2005 6:00 -- 12.00 pm aelab: sparks:experimental documentary sparks is a modular video series comprised of 5 video capsules which finds its inspiration in the life of visionary inventor nikola tesla (1856-1943). sparks mixes documentary fact within a larger experimental genre with shifting perspectives which include interviews, autobiographical texts, animations, archival sources, metaphorical interpretations and original sound design. it contains interviews with jeffrey stanley (screenwriter, new york), velimir abramovic (philosopher, belgrade, serbia) and andrew michrowski (director of pace_planetary association for clean energy, ottawa). shot on location in new york, the nikola tesla museum (belgrade), museum of science and technology (belgrade) and institut de recherche d'hydro-québec (varenne, qc). |

di 15. nov. 2005 bis sa 19. nov.2005 18:00 -- 24.00 h electric world: compilation: commercial, feature, fiction taken from the archivesdas videoprogramm gibt einen vorgeschmack auf die lange filmnacht am 18. november. bei den recherchen für das projekt der domestizierte blitz hat jan-peter e.r. sonntag einen umfangreichen fundus an filmmaterial aus digitalen archiven zusammen getragen. im wochenprogramm zeigt er eine kleine auswahl der filme, die die (vergangenen) bild- und diskurswelten der electric world vergegenwärtigen. |

tue 22. nov. 2005 to sat 26. nov.2005 6:00 -- 12.00 pm phill niblock: the movement of people workingdas filmprogramm von phill niblock stimmt auf seine konzertperformance am 26.11. ein. die filme des minimalistischen komponisten, filmemachers und fotografen zeigen menschliche arbeit in ihrer elementaren form. handwerker und landarbeiter bewegen sich in monotonen abläufen -- über die dauer der filme werden geringfügige abweichungen erkennbar. begleitet werden die filme von niblocks musik, die durch das musikalische phänomen der schwebung charakterisiert ist. das zusammenspiel von filmen und musik erzeugt gleichzeitig stillstand und bewegung. |
