	wed. 07. march 2007 \| 8:30 pm radio play dieter kühn: galaktisches rauschen , wdr, 1979. a scientific convention meets in the next century to discuss whether rational communicative beings exist beyond the planet earth. they conceive models for possible forms of communication on other stars: a sound language conveyed via sound-tree, a communication structure based on sensory contact, and a language comprised of dance steps and verbal expressions.
	wed. 14. march 2007 \| 8:30 pm feature julian doepp:jedermann sein eigener sender -- radio als utopie, br, 2004. radio is omnipresent -- literally an ou-topos, a non-location. from the beginning, the first electronic mass medium attracted projections of utopian ideals. the program sheds light on both utopian visions and practical attempts to apply such visions, from pirate stations to experimental audio plays and net radio. the question is raised: what utopias can radio develop today?
	wed. 21. march 2007 \| 8:30 pm radio art concept and pieces from 'blogspiel -- blogs mit radioanschluss' [blog play -- blogs with radio connection] the internet radio movement explores the borders and perspectives of the medium. it strives to show the old radio how it could have carried on from the beginning as an instrument of communication: as a socially competent apparatus, rather than an informative tool. the operators of the site trigger23 -- die medienaktivisten [the media activists] present experimental short radio plays from the current stock of the blogspiel archive dem aktuellen bestand des blogspiel-archivs www.blogspiel.de and open them to discussion.
	wed. 28. march 2007 \| 8:30 pm borders relating radio -- communities, aesthetics, access, radiorevolten/spector books, 2006. the conference relating radio was part of the radiorevolten festival and took place in halle on october 4th and 5th, 2006. since then, spector books has produced a conference report with 32 articles on relating radio, collected and edited by golo föllmer and sven thiermann. the future of radio is addressed with the focal points communities, aesthetics and access. sven thiermann will present the book, together with audio excerpts from the conference and from the connected program.
	radio tesla presents programs, fragments and impressions from the past, present and future of radio. as an integral part of the schedule at tesla im podewils'schen palais, the series explores the artistic and historical dimensions of the medium of radio, which was, after all, invented by nikola tesla himself. radio tesla is presented every wednesday evening at eight-thirty, admission is free. each month is dedicated to a specific theme, and each evening concentrates on one genre: on the first wednesday of the month, a radio play or other fictional work is offered. the following week, the focus is on features and other non-fiction. the third wednesday is reserved for ars acustica and radio art, and on the fourth wednesday of the month, labeled "grenzen" ("borders"), unconventional, uncensored independent forms will be offered. In months which have a fifth wednesday, a "bonus track" will take the month's theme one step further.
